Garry sets his year off in style at Disley

DISLEY Golf Club’s new Captain Garry Bingham is determined to have plenty of fun during his year of office and he set the style with his dress for the traditional drive-in ceremony to launch his year

Garry has been a member of Disley for 20 years with a lowest handicap of nine, currently 11.

His favourite course other tah Disley is Royal Birkdale and the 16th is is favourite hole at Disley because of it’s ‘risk and reward’ par four as you can go over the out of bounds to the green.

Garry is a keen squash player playing for Stockport in the NWCSL and he is also a huge Manchester United fan and will be looking to play three or four times as week.

He is supporting the Breast Cancer Research Charity during his year in office as he lost his wife to it five years ago.

Garry said: "Disley is not only one of the friendliest clubs in the area but also has amazing views and fantastic greens.
