Corrigan Show His Class

BOYSNOPE Park Golf Club hosted its first-ever Manchester Alliance competition and despite some atrocious weather, which closed many other courses in the area, it provided a good course and a very friendly welcome.

The enduring class of Craig Corrigan dominated the competition as he extended his lead over Phil Archer (Birchwood) in the professional Order of Merit with a fine double victory.

Craig posted 40 points in the individual pro section to lead in from Phil Archer 39 and Hazel Grove assistant pro Ben Thompson 36.

Local knowledge paid off in the am am section as Boysnope Park Captain Adrian Hodges and his Davyhulme Park partner Andy Greig won a cpo on 41 points from Ian Farthing and Steve King (Malkins Bank) with John Aikenhead (Ashton-on-Mersey) and Mark Gauci (Chorlton) completing the prize list.
